Let them keep living in the darkness and we’ll keep walking in the sunlight. Forever on your side, Taylor.

my moms favorite pastime is to come into my room, insult all of my life choices, list everything i already know i need to do making me 10x more stressed about it than i was before, then leave my door open

I think that if you’re just going to write a song about like a relationship that has no personal characteristics to it, how can people relate to that because there is no standard relationship, there is only a personalised relationship that you shared with another person. Writing about that means that other people who have that kind of relationship with another person or had one, can relate to it. I used to think that if you leave out details that people could relate more, but I don’t think that’s the case because I think that it’s really the more you let people in, the more they feel let in and the more they feel like we all share something.
